Loans, Footage & Stills

The Film Archive is responsible for over 90,000 films and videos and over 10,000 stills.

Under certain conditions, some items from the collections may be accessed for use in documentaries, exhibitions, news broadcasts and publications. A small collection of film prints is also available for loan to institutions for special screenings.

Access to material is subject to preservation requirements and clearance from rights holders. Any commercial use of archival images should recognise cultural and personal sensitivities and uphold the integrity of the original item. The Archive also has a responsibility to ensure that all items are used in a way that is consistent with contractual undertakings made at the time of acquisition.

Costs and conditions of use apply.
