An Unkindness of Ravens, a new moving image installation by Gabrielle Amodeo, deals with the performance of the objects of pause. This intriguing subject is worked through by protagonists in action, paralysed by time. In filmmaking or drama a script and a recording bookend a performance: two points of stillness that open and close everything at play. Amodeo's exhibition is formed around these two bookends.

This 1961 film is a fictionalised take on the research of sexologist Dr Alfred Kinsey. Riding on the crest of the sexual revolution, One Plus One attempts to understand some of Kinsey’s findings by presenting a series of dramatic and comedic vignettes on the significance of sex in the lives of a diverse group of characters. This independently produced Canadian film is a rarely screened gem.
