The NZ Writers’ Guild presents our August Screen Discussion.
Some ideas have the potential to deliver a strong successful film. How do you identify a good idea early on and are there criteria that guide these decisions?
Join Catherine Fitzgerald (The Orator) and Nick Ward (Lovebirds) and Chris Payne (NZFC Development Executive) for an in depth discussion with Steven Gannaway (NZWG Exectuive Director) on what makes a film idea stand out, what attracts development funding, and what is crucial in nurturing ideas into feature films.
Come early and enjoy a glass of Doctor’s courtesy of Forrest Winery and stay afterward for a slice of Heaven pizza.
Drinks 5:30pm, 6pm start.
The Screen Discussion Series is held in Wellington at the Film Archive on the third Wednesday of the month. Come along to hear from a range of screen organisations and practitioners and to continue the conversation with a drink after the event.
