NZ Children's Animation Showcase

The Film Archive comes to Artstation

Visit Artstation during the summer school holidays and watch some screenings of fanstastical animation films.

For this awesome FREE event the Artstation gallery will have a big screen projection and squabs for viewers to relax and watch some of NZ's great animators in comfort. The films date from early 20th Century to today, and employ animation techniques from claymation and puppetry to drawn animation and collage. The showcase promises to inspire the junior animator and entertain both young and old.

Subsequent to the exhibition, a selection of children's animations resulting from the Artstation animation workshops with Guy Capper have the exciting opportunity to screen publicly at Viewfinder, The Film Archive's moving image presentation at Auckland Central Library, Lorne street.

21 January – 9 February 2013
Opening 19 January 2013 2-4pm
