NZ Feature Project

The New Zealand Feature Project began in May 2004 when the mediaplex opened. The aim of the project is to screen every surviving New Zealand feature film.

Rather than starting with My Lady of the Cave, our earliest surviving feature (1922) and working forward chronologically, or even running alphabetically from A Soldier’s Tale to Zilch, mini seasons have been curated to present the huge range of features held by the Archive.

This filmography is sourced from our weekly screening programmes, distinctions are not made between fiction and documentary works. If a particular film you are looking for is not listed, check back. Or email and let us know which titles you are interested in.

Use our online catalogue to search for more New Zealand films.
