Activity
Optional Activity
In groups, choose 1 of the ‘psychological objectives’ which were part of the USA’s propaganda in trying to encourage New Zealanders to support the war as it escalated.
Summarise the objective and present to the class your group’s thoughts on why such an objective might be particularly effective.
Groups could present the objective, verbally, visually, in summary form or create a propaganda speech/ advertisement and then explain its significance.
