Lesson 13: Challenging the Image

This lesson is to help prepare students for planning and storyboarding their montage task.

  • to plan what images, shots & angles would be needed in a montage
  • to communicate the main messages & values I want to portray & how I intend to portray them

  • I can create a storyboard that has a variety of images, shots and angles appropriate for a montage.
  • I can plan a production schedule to ensure I get all tasks completed in the allocated time.

Activities

Pre Production Prep – storyboarding

Individually students are to plan, shoot and edit a 1-2 minute montage of images and icons which both present stereotypical representations of kiwi identity and also challenge these representations. The aim is produce both accurate and/or challenging representations.
Students are to complete the storyboarding and planning material.
