Students are to choose two of the immigrant groups that they have studied in class. Use a variety of sources eg. Internet, encyclopaedias, DVDs.
Write a magazine article on:
1. Why each group came to New Zealand
2. Problems each group faced when they first moved to New Zealand
3. How each group has contributed to New Zealand society
The conclusion of the article is to be about how they think immigration has benefited New Zealand over the last 100 years.
The magazine article must be a mix of written information and visuals.

Must explain any problems the 2 immigrant groups faced in NZ e.g. racism.
Must explain how the 2 immigrant groups have contributed to NZ society e.g. food, festivals, famous people.
Must be a balance of written and visual e.g. can use visuals with captions to explain how the immigrant groups have contributed to NZ society.
