- Students are able to clearly locate and label 4 Mountains/Mountain Ranges.
- Students are able to describe key geographical features (activities and facilities) of four mountains and mountain ranges both in the North and South Islands.

Activities
- Students will each receive an Atlas, and a blank map of New Zealand.
- Students will be provided with a list of 4 Mountains/ Mountain Ranges.
- Students will locate and label those 4 Mountains/ Mountain Ranges on their blank map of New Zealand, assisted by their atlas.
- Students will view the above film footage.
- Students will complete the geographical features (activities and facilities) of four mountains and mountain ranges in the North and South Island
- Compare this new knowledge to their prior knowledge of New Zealand. What new things have they discovered?
