World Mapping: Locate on the maps the special places in the world.

Learning intentions students are learning to…

  • Locate and label some of the world’s most special places on a world map.

Success criteria (How do students know they have achieved success?)

  • Students are able to clearly locate all the world’s special places

Activities

  • Students will each receive an Atlas, and two blank maps of the world.
  • Students will be provided with a list of the world’s special places.
  • Students will locate and label those special places.
  • Compare this new knowledge to their prior knowledge of the world’s special places. What new things have they discovered?
