Students re-read summative assessment resource for Media 2.2 ‘See it for Yourself’ or 3.2 ‘Directors Study’ and the teacher explains the task in detail.
Level 2 students should use the film Sure to Rise as a formative assessment to replace lessons 14 and 15, before moving on to the summative assessment task.
Level 3 students should be shown two films by an unseen director. As a class students should brainstorm the distinctive language of that director and the teacher should suggest appropriate elements for students to focus their discussion on. They should suggest reviews/ articles/ books on that director. The teacher should also give feedback on the formative assessment tasks.
Over the course of the week students should work on their internal assessment.
