Sub-Chapter: Beyond the Bombay Hill

  • Beyond the Bombay Hills (Footage Time: 26 minutes and 43 seconds)

Activities

  • Teacher will ask students about their prior knowledge about Auckland’s history.
  • Teacher gets students to draw up a KWL Chart (What we know, What we want to know, What we learned). Students to complete the first two questions.
  • View Footage: Either the “Historical Auckland DVD” footage, or the “Auckland’s People DVD” footage, then complete the KWL Chart.
  • Compare this new knowledge to their prior knowledge of Auckland’s history. What new things have they discovered?
