The Film Archive is overjoyed to have been selected Best Cultural Venue at the Annual Wellingtonista Awards held at the Mighty Mighty last night.
The Second Annual Awards were voted for by 700 Wellingtonians for their favourite spots in Capital City and covered a range of venues, events, stores and public spaces.
In a joint event hosted by the Wellingtonista and Public Address a quiz was held with media commentators such as Graham Reid and Marion Hobbs. Russel Brown oversaw proceedings and the full event will be broadcast on Radio Live.
The awards ceremony was followed by Blam Blam Blam! And a great night was had by all.
The Wellingtonista was formed at the start of 2005. It is a blog site with the underlying mission to promote and write about the many interesting aspects of our wonderful city, from things to go and see, events to participate in, bands to listen to, plays to watch, comments on local news, restaurants to eat in, and, sometimes, places to get drunk.
The site is regularly updated at www.wellingtonista.com
Thanks Wellington.
