The UNESCO declaration of an annual World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is welcomed by the following members of the Co-ordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations:

The Association for Recorded Sound Collections is a non-profit organization dedicated to research, study, publication, and information exchange surrounding all aspects of recordings and recorded sound.
