The Film Archive is the home of New Zealand’s moving image history with over 160,000 titles spanning feature films, documentaries, short films, home movies, newsreels, TV programmes and advertisements.
In October 2012, the Sound Archives Ngā Taonga Kōrero were transferred from Radio New Zealand to the Film Archive. The Archives are currently undergoing a Review to establish an integrated national audiovisual archive. Read more

Decimal Currency. Mr Dollar
On the 10th of July 1967 New Zealand switched to decimal currency, fortunately Mr Dollar was around to introduce the new notes and cents.
